Love the four seasons in Japan and enjoy a life of luxury
It is known that a lot of countries over the world have culture of “stones and bricks”.
It is not too much to say that Japan is a country where has a culture of “tree, soil, and paper”.
From the Yayoi Era, Japanese people had utilized them in their daily lives and it was culminated in the wooden architecture in the Asuka Era.
It was inherited from the KAMAKURA Era, the Azuchi Momoyama Era, to the Edo Era and they were sublimated as a culture in the ordinary people and is available in the living style now.
Looking at the history of Japan, the wooded structure has been developed from shrine, to temple, castle and bridge.
In the Edo Era, it was entrenched especially for house for the ordinary people and standardized as we can see now.
We surely can say that the Horyuji (Horyu Temple) built 1000 years ago is a “Masterpiece of Technique.”
In addition, Isejingu (Grand Shrine of Ise) and Izumotaisha (Izumo Shrine) are an “origin of spiritual culture” which has been inherited along with Japanese spirit.
Yokohama is a birthplace of Japanese modern culture.
There are Yamate-area where flavors western culture, Negishi- area and Honmoku ?area where inherit the old history in Yokohama.
Other spots are an historic town for samurai,“KAMAKURA”,and a famous hot spring spot,“HAKONE”on the west side of Yokohama.
We proudly announce that “Rental Housing Information for Old Private Houses” for the foreigners in Yokohama, favorable location of culture and history, is published.
A lot of people who are familiar with western culture would feel it would be a status to live in an old private house, culture of Japanese traditional wooden architecture.
We hope that you would use the “Rental of Old Private House” for company housing or personal residence, not living in urban-styled condo. We all are sure that it can contribute to reserve the old private houses and establish landscape to rent the old private house as “sweet-home” in Japan.

Window toward world from Yokohama
In 2005, it is announced that travelers around the world would be approximately 850 million and the expenditure for overseas trip would be $100 billion.
On the other hand, the foreign travelers coming to Japan are approximately 5,23 million in the statistic in 2003, which ranking is No. 35 in the world, No.9 in Asia regrettably.
Tourism trade balance in Japan is deficit of 3.5 trillion Yen.
It is noted that Japanese has underestimated our country as the tourism resource and taken little interests in attracting the foreigners. However, we have often heard admiration from the travelers and businessmen coming to Japan unexpectedly. In Japan, historical culture towns where no Japanese realize yet potentially exist.
Yokohama has long been a fashionable, exotic and civilized city from the old days.
All of smell and scent of cigar, flower, perfume, and brewing aroma of chocolate, coffee and cocoa are mixed together.
Yokohama where we can feel on our cheek like velvet and where brings exotic atmosphere.
Japan has a lot of attractive tourism resources potentially.
Mild weather changing in the four seasons, beautiful nature that only an island country can have, abundant history that we can proudly present to the world, a lot of cultural treasures, and good security and convenient public transportation.
Especially, Yokohama has better access to a historic town of Japan, KAMAKURA, and a hot spring spot, HAKONE.
It is not too much to say that it is an entrance of Japanese culture.
It is expected that Osanbashi (Osan Bridge) would be filled with cruise ships overseas introducing of “KAMAKURA” and “HAKONE” along with the history of Yokohama to the world.
Historic town,“KAMAKURA”where Samurai used to live
Currently, KAMAKURA has been making a campaign for UNESCO list of world heritage.
Shrines and temples in KAMAKURA were listed temporarily in 1992 when Japan ratified the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Kyoto and Nara where have a lot of national treasure were also registered from the viewpoint of “Historic Town” sequentially.
‐Historical heritage “KAMAKURA, historic town of temples and shrines”
Hot Spring Spot, HAKONE
In the Edo Era (about 1603 to 1868), traveler heading to the west left Shinagawa early in the morning and in the third day, reached HAKONE where was the first post station.
No transportation was established.
They traveled by horse, sedan chair, or foot. HAKONE was the key location for transportation of Tokaido and had a checking station (like customs).
In the early Meiji Era (around 1868), as the traveling of foreigners living in Yokohama was restricted, trip to HAKONE or Atami only was allowed to heal illness in the hot spring.
As sedan chair was replaced with horse-drawn carriage and all roads and trains were accommodated, it had increased gradually that foreigners visited HAKONE.

residential area for foreigners.】
Living in Yokohama with elegance proudly
Great style that foreigner lives in the Japanese traditional private house with satisfaction Rental of Old Private House perceives residence and daily life comprehensively not only as house, but also as natural environment and landscape living in a harmony, and offers residential style with history and high-quality traditional old private house for people overseas“wishing to live in a traditional private house”.
From around 2004, high-quality rental condos which the average month rents are over 500,000 yen have been increasing in the urban areas.
It is quite a number of very high-quality condos which rents are more than 1 million yen as it is expected that more foreign companies would be launching into Japanese market and more foreign businessmen would be coming to Japan.
The market has been expanding comparing with the sales of condos which have been supplied excessively.
For example, 4LD (4 bedrooms) residence on the top floor has great view.
The monthly rent of this property is 2,17 million yen.
It is true that living the urban condo is a kind of status. However, people can feel and appreciate more the Japanese tradition and history if they live in the Japanese old house which inherits the Japanese tradition and history while paying the same amount of the rent.
Old private house in Japan gives us warmth which we cannot have in the modern concrete house.
We can feel the house breathing to heal people in the house.
Old Japanese people thought house as a member of the family, not just something to live. House lives with resident.
Why don’t you spend a time in the warm and gentle old private house more refreshingly than living in the concrete and plastic house?
